MTB loops

  • Lake Imaging Loop

    Ride Description: Mellow climbs and fast rolling flow trail descending.

    Directions to lot: From Brevard up 276, Turn left into Dupont. Continue to Stanton Rd. and turn right. Continue to lake imaging lot on left.

    On Trail: From the lot stay on lake imaging rd. turn Left on Jim Branch trail. Right onto Isaac Heath trail, Right onto Locust trail. Left onto Lake imaging Rd. Stay Left onto Buck Forest Rd. Left onto White Pine Trail. Left to Hooker Creek Trail. Left on Ridgeline Trail to Parking lot. (Secondary option is Right on Ridgeline from Hooker, short distance Left to Hickory Mtn Loop (second entry) then left back onto Ridgeline to lot!)

  • Fawn Lake Loop

    Ride Description: Mellow ride with creek crossings, lake views, and waterfall views!

    Directions to lot: From Brevard up 276, Turn Left into Dupont and immediate Right onto Reasonover Rd. Fawn lake lot will be 2.8 miles on the left.

    On Trail: Right on Fawn Lake Rd. Straight across Conservation Rd. and onto Reasonover Creek. Right on Turkey Knob Rd. Left on Turkey Knob Trail. Right on Briery Fork. Straight across Joanna Rd. and onto Grassy Creek. Left on Sandy. Left on Tarklin Branch Rd. Left on Thomas Cemetery Rd. Left on Buck Forest Rd. Left on Conservation Rd. Left on Pitch Pine. Left on Three Lakes. Left on Conservation Rd. Right on Bridal Veil Falls Rd. Left on Corn Mill Shoals. Left on Laurel Ridge. Right on Mine Mountain. Right on Fawn Lake Rd. back to parking lot.

  • Thrift to Lower black Mtn

    Ride Description: Twisting climb with some punchy steep sections with one of the most famous decents in Pisgah!

    Directions to lot: From Brevard head to Pisgah Forest main entrance. Black Mountain lot will be on the right about 1 mile into the forest across from Davidson River Campground.\

    On Trail: once on trail climb the double track to the fork in the trail, once here turn left onto Thrift Cove. It will wind and start to climb to the top of the mountain. Some punchy sections but levels out at top. Descending down from the top will be slight drop and will bring you down to the intersection where Middle black and Lower black connect. Continue straight on Lower Black trail. This will feed you back onto the double track you started on, hang a right and head back to lot. (you can go left and once at the beginning fork hang a right onto grassy trail for an additional trail and milage!)

  • Sycamore Cove Loop

    Ride Description: Easier climb up single track, fast single track downhill with roots and rocks, wall rides.

    Directions to lot: From Brevard head to Pisgah Forest entrance. Black Mountain lot entrance is about 1 mile in on right across from Davidson River Campground.

    On Trail: From lot on Thrift stay right to Y intersection. Hang Right onto Grassy Trail. Hang right onto lower sycamore. (option- turn left to Upper sycamore) Both ways let out on 276, turn left on 276. Lot will be about .5 miles on right.

Gravel Loops

  • Catheys Creek Loop

    Ride Description: Tarmac and Gravel ride, Good climb to the top, fun fast decent and second fun climb and decent to town!

    28 Miles

    Directions to lot: From Brevard to Rosman Highway. Drive about 3 miles to Catheys creek road. Turn Left once on the road and continue until gravel starts.

    On road: From the gravel continue up the winding road for 4 miles climbing to the top. From there continue down and turn right and keep on this gravel road till you come up to parking for Daniels Ridge. Continue straight and hop onto Government Rd passing the Fish Hatchery and merge onto 276 back to town. Getting on bike path back to downtown!

  • Cascade Lake Road Loop

    Ride Description: Mix of Tarmac, Gravel, and lake views this loop is great!

    40 Miles

    Directions: From Brevard head on the bike path to Oscar Blues. From there turn off onto Old Hendersonville Hwy. After about a mile turn right onto Everett Farm Rd. Continue on this road for about 3 miles till you get to Hart Rd. Turn Right and continue until you come up on cascade road (gravel) starting on your right.

    Once on the gravel road continue all the way until you reach Stanton Rd. Turn left and descend to High falls parking lot continue to Buck Forest Rd and keep on this road till you reach Guaya Farms Lot and turn Left and keep on road after turning to pavement and reaching Stanton Rd. Turn right and ride along until you reach crab creek Rd. Turn left and ride for about 3 miles till you reach Everrett Farm turn left follow road back to Oscar blues and bike path!
